Keep your games, music, photos, and video on a computer or NAS and let your handheld reach them over the network. Once a share is mounted, it behaves just like storage on the device itself.
You will find this feature under Settings > Network Shares.
Supported protocols
GammaOS Nano can connect to four kinds of network share:
| Protocol | Common use |

| SMB | Windows shared folders and most NAS boxes |
| NFS | Linux and Unix file servers |
| WebDAV | Web-based file storage |
| FTP | Classic file transfer servers |
Make sure Wi-Fi is connected before you try to mount a share. See Wi-Fi & Bluetooth if you need to get online first.
Where your shares appear
Once a share is connected, it shows up in the File Explorer so you can browse and manage its files right on the handheld.
You can also add a share to the media libraries. When you do, the files on it are scanned like local storage, so any music, photos, and video on the share appear in your Music, Photos & Video categories automatically.
